US Patent No. 9,663,746 B1; Zap! Holdings, LLC, Longmont, CO, has patented a surface treatment composition that is comprised of water; 2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4 tricarboxylic acid; citric acid; L(+)-lactic acid; gluconic acid; capryleth-9 carboxylic acid; lauramine oxide; and an amount of dipropylene glycol n-propyl ether. The composition contains less than 0.1 weight percent phosphorus, and the composition has a pH of 1.0 or less....
